We are excited to announce that the Center for Technology and Civic Life has been awarded $400,000 in general operating support from the Democracy Fund.

This funding will allow CTCL to grow its ELECTricity network and training program for local election officials. Through ELECTricity’s first-of-its-kind trainings, election officials across the country are building data and technology skills to modernize engagement with their communities.

“At the Center we believe that every election official who is committed to advancing their skills to improve elections in their jurisdiction should have the opportunity to do so,” said Tiana Epps-Johnson, CTCL executive director. “Funding from the Democracy Fund will allow us to provide tech-focused professional development at rates that are affordable for all jurisdictions, regardless of size or budget.”

Democracy Fund’s general operating support will also allow CTCL to refine its business model, helping us chart a path toward long-term financial sustainability.
