Charles Beall currently serves as the Advocacy Manager for the Center for Tech and Civic Life. His role focuses on working with election administrators to advocate for sustainable election funding. Prior to joining CTCL, Charles served in a leadership role at Voters Not Politicians, where he helped lead more than 2,500 volunteers to successfully pass citizen ballot initiatives in Michigan, Proposal 18-2 which ended gerrymandering and Proposal 22-2 to expand voting rights . He is a cum laude graduate of Illinois State University. Prior to college he worked for the first openly gay candidate to run for statewide office in Illinois as well as the first openly gay state legislator elected in Illinois outside of the city of Chicago. He is the proud uncle of 8 nieces and nephews and enjoys cycling and going for long walks with his partner and 3 dogs.
