Cybersecurity Training for Virginia Election Officials

In partnership with the Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT), the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) is excited to support your professional development in election cybersecurity.

You’ll be learning on a platform called Pathwright. Below are instructions to register and login to the courses.

Important reminders

  • Do not share the training registration information with people who are not approved by ELECT.
  • You must use your work email address when you register for training.
  • Complete the courses before March 3, 2020.
  • You can download a course certificate after you complete each course.
  • Your progress, using your work email, will be tracked and shared with ELECT.

How to get started

  1. Visit the private Pathwright page: Virginia Cybersecurity Training.
  2. Create a Pathwright account using your name and work email address. This should take you less than a minute. Remember: You MUST use your election office email address when you register for training.
  3. You’ll receive a welcome email that includes Pathwright troubleshooting resources as well as CTCL contact information. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, be sure to check your email spam folder or email quarantine.
  4. Congrats! You’re ready to learn election cybersecurity best practices on Pathwright.
